played a Scriabin prelude in my lesson today

caronova:

my professor sat silently for 30 seconds with his eyes closed after i finished, and then got up and hugged me.

he said he didn’t have anything to say.

i don’t know if anyone else understands this.  probably not.

a music professor.  that had nothing.  to say.  NOTHING TO SAY.

i win.

Scriabin plays his Etude Op. 8, No. 12.  This piece is brilliant and makes me feel so emotional.  OVER A DARN 2 MINUTE ETUDE.

Scriabin’s own performance is obviously brilliant.
